Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly keen to offload goalkeeper Keylor Navas in a deal that could help him sign Mauro Icardi.
The Inter Milan striker is seemingly a top target for Los Blancos this summer, with his prolific scoring record in Serie A certainly making him look an ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo after his switch to Juventus.
In order to help make this happen, Real are now lining up an offer of €50million-plus-Navas to Inter to help bring Icardi to the Bernabeu, according to Don Balon.
It remains to be seen if Inter would accept such a proposal, but it seems a wise move from Madrid if they can pull it off, having already signed a new ‘keeper this summer.
The European champions raided Chelsea for Thibaut Courtois, so will surely now have the Belgium international as their new number one to replace Navas.

And Icardi would undoubtedly be an upgrade on what Real currently have in attack, with Ronaldo’s departure leaving the side looking light up front, even if he’s not a like-for-like replacement due to being more of a natural center-forward.
It could be a good idea, however, to have him in instead of Karim Benzema, who has seemingly lost the knack in front of goal in recent times.
