APC Crisis: APC Lawmaker Of Gombe State House Of Assembly Defects To PDP

The minority leader of the Gombe state House of Assembly, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Haruna, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Haruna announced his defection on Thursday, August 16, during the house plenary presided over by the speaker, Alhaji Nasiru Abubakar Nono, Daily Trust reports.

Haruna stated that the division in the Gombe state chapter of the APC and the injustice meted out to him by the party’s leadership was what caused him to defect. He lamented over the fact that he had been denied the opportunity to defend himself, after being unjustly suspended by the party, four months ago.
