The two most powerful figures at Manchester United are at loggerheads over the club’s transfer business.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who says Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward are at ‘boiling point’ with the new season less than two weeks away.
Mourinho has made no secret of his frustrations in the transfer market, saying he had given a shortlist of five names to the club hierarchy ‘months’ ago – but only expects one more addition.
He has already splurged over £70million on Fred, Diogo Dalot, and Lee Grant – and United chief Woodward is reportedly reluctant to release more funds.
United are without a clutch of players on their pre-season tour of the US due to their involvement in the World Cup.
