This morning, Kano State Hisbah Board, a Sharia police board, exonerated two ladies previously accused of being lesbian partners.
A resident of the state had petitioned Kano State Hisbah Board with the wrong allegation that the ladies were engaged in lesbianism.
After much investigations, the allegations were found to be false and the charges against them were dropped. The board announced the exoneration of the ladies this evening on its Facebook page.
