Lingard was one of England's star performers in Russia as the Three Lions recorded their best World Cup result since 1990.
Jesse Lingard might not have returned to England with a World Cup winners' medal... but he did have the best celebration at the World Cup.
That's according to a bizarre study by Pringles, which claims Lingard's 'Shoot Dance' ranked higher than any other celebration on show over the entire month of the tournament in Russia.
Pringles say they teamed up with sports analyst Dr. Garry Gelade, formally of the University of Cambridge, to create a formula for ranking the celebrations.
According to the snack giant, the magic formula combines individual scores for goal gravity, theatrics, reaction and adjustment for bias to produce an overall celebration score out of 100.
Manchester United forward Lingard scored 74 out of 100 for his celebration against Panama, while Yerry Mina and Antoine Griezmann came in joint-second with scores of 73 for their respective celebrations against Senegal and Croatia.
Samuel Umtiti of France was fourth, Paul Pogba fifth and Kylian Mbappe also made the top 10, finishing in eighth place.
"Lingard’s shoot dance celebration earned the highest score of the tournament, another bonus to take home for England fans from the tournament.
"We’re using the formula to track which football moments are going to be remembered for years to come."
Lingard followed his United teammates to Los Angeles earlier this week but, while his club colleagues are building up their fitness in California ahead of the new season, the Reds' No.14 is only just getting his summer holiday underway after his exploits with England.
He won't play in any of United's fixtures during the team's tour of the United States and Jose Mourinho has said he doesn't expect any of his players who took part in the World Cup to feature in the season opener against Leicester on August 10.
